Multi-file management utility for PC

Multiple File ManagerĀ is a free and open-sourceĀ utilityĀ for desktop that was created by an indie developer namedĀ Dhany Nurdiansyah. It is aĀ file managerĀ program that helps usersĀ manage multiple filesĀ at the same time. This tool helps them perform tasks such as batch file renaming and deletion.

Other apps likeĀ Q-DirĀ andĀ Total CommanderĀ provide an alternativeĀ file explorerĀ program to the built-in ones found on desktop operating systems. Multiple File Manager is slightly different in that it simply focuses onĀ two main functions: lettings users delete and rename multiple files in an easy and convenient way.

How do I use Multiple File Manager?

Multiple File Manager features a clean and simple user interface. When you first open the tool, you can click on the browse button right away to set a folder where your files are located. A list of files will be shown to you and you can select all the files that you need to manage just by clicking on them one by one.

Once done, refer to the Action drop-down menu to select what you want to do. For renaming options, you choose to deletereplace, or insert names in your files. Meanwhile, you get two options for deletion, which either delete or duplicate a file. Click on the Go button and a window will pop up that corresponds to the action that you chose.

Multiple File Manager is easy and straightforward to use, but some things could use improvements, though. For one, it does not show sub-folders, thus you will have to use the browse button again to select files located on another folder. Another is that there are no prompts or notifications if your changes were successfully applied or not.

A handy batch file management utility

Overall, Multiple File Manager isĀ a useful programĀ if you need to rename or delete multiple batches of files at the same time. It's fast, lightweight, and easy to use. It will not serve as a replacement to your existing file explorer app, but for what it is meant to be used for, itĀ works quite well.

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
